About shiba inus

Shiba Inus are an ancient breed from Japan. They are loyal and loving but are also independent and bold. They are relatively quiet and do well in homes of all sizes, including apartments. They are kid-friendly and are great for families.

shiba inu Care

Shiba Inus are a wonderful breed if you a looking for a low-maintenance dog. They're considered moderate shedders and blow their coats twice a year, typically during seasonal changes. Shiba's are also self-groomers and are considered to be very clean dogs. Routine nail clipping and weekly brushing to remove loose fur is recommended.

While the Shiba is an energetic breed they don't require a lot of exercise. An adult Shiba requires about an hour of mental and physical stimulation throughout the day. Any off-leash activities outdoors should take place in a fenced area to prevent them from wandering off.

Shibas are known for their proud "cat-like" personalities. This is not a clingy breed as they are very independent and often a little stubborn.
